SELECTED WORK

Every production is different. Some clients bring us a finished concept and need a crew to execute it. Others come to us with a rough idea and need help figuring out everything from scope and budget to production and delivery. Here are a few projects we've worked on and what our role looked like on each one.

Black Rifle Coffee Co

Remember the Fallen

This project started with a script written by Mat Best. From there, we helped figure out everything it would take to bring it to life—shot listing, location scouting, casting, wardrobe, props, art direction, set design, camera, lighting, and production.

We sourced everything from the right truck to custom artwork drawn by kids, built the gravesite for the final scene, cast the father and daughter, and found the ranches and dirt roads that gave us the look we wanted. We also secured and filmed at a local school for a sequence that ultimately never made the final cut.

In post, we felt the story played stronger without the school sequence, so we simplified the film around the father, daughter, and final scene at the ranch. The finished piece was tighter, more emotional, and ended up getting some of the best audience reactions we've ever seen.

We made a lot of people cry—and for this one, that meant we did our job.

Beard Octane

The Most American Beard Video You’ll Watch Today

This one started with a loose script developed with Caleb Francis and Joe from Beard Octane. We went into production with the main beats of the story figured out, along with a handful of specific shots we knew we needed for the visual effects and jokes to work.

From there, we left plenty of room to have fun with it. A lot of the final piece came from improv and ad-libbing on set, letting the performances and jokes develop naturally instead of being locked into every word on the page.

We handled camera, lighting, gaffing, direction, and post-production, including green screen and visual effects that helped push some of the jokes even further.

Sometimes the best plan is knowing what you need to get—and leaving enough room for something better to happen on set.

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Battle in Najaf

This documentary brought together veterans who fought in the Battle of Najaf to tell the story in their own words. For some of the guys, it was also the first time they had seen each other since Iraq, which made the production feel like part interview shoot and part reunion.

Over three days, we hosted the interviews at Boerne Content Studio and built a custom set dressed with military memorabilia to create the right environment for the conversations. We provided the studio, camera, lighting, DP, and assistant direction, working alongside a documentary director we’ve collaborated with for years to help guide the interviews and capture the story.

The project brought together a crew of people we’ve worked with repeatedly, including a contract director and editor, allowing us to build the right team around the needs of the documentary.

Sometimes production is less about creating the moment and more about building the right environment for people to tell their story.
